Focused Communities of Learning

Students at each grade level are assigned to a "cluster" of approximately 115 students. Each cluster is taught by a "team" of teachers.

Parent Conferences

Your child’s Team of Teachers would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a conference. The conference is held at this time for the purpose of increasing your understanding of the progress your child is making. Conferences will take place during the Teacher Workshop Day on Friday, January 23rd. Each conference will be 15 minutes in length.

Click here to download the form to request a conference. Please select two time blocks and return the form by mail (Keene Middle School, 167 Maple Ave.) or with your student to their homeroom teacher by Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Once we have received your response, we will schedule your conference and send confirmation with your conference time to you by Friday, January 16th.

6th Grade sectionals are for Group D today.
7th and 8th Grade Band sectionals for today are as follows: Period 1 - Group 8, Period 2 - Group 5, Period 4 - Group 12, Period 5 - Group 9, Period 6 - Groups 6 and 10, Period 7 - Groups 7 and 11.
The January Jazz Concert is tonight at KMS at 7:00 PM. All jazz band students should arrive at KMS at 6:30 PM. 
The Keene High Jazz Invitational is tomorrow night. All jazz band students should report to the Keene High Auditorium at 6:30. Jazz Band students should bring their instruments and music home from the concert tonight so they can have them tomorrow at Keene High.
The Peace Pole Committee will be meeting next Tuesday immediately after school. If you were involved in this group earlier in the fall please come to the meeting in the IMC to get an update on our plans for the future. If you are interested in joining this student group please speak to Mrs. Stacey.
Evolution Dance- Miss C is still sick so we will NOT have practice today.  Please drop off any sweatshirt money in room 1402!  Thank you!
Mrs. McKeon's HR 2302 will be collecting donations for the Wounded Warriors Project today.  Please help support this important project.
The annual Student Council dressy dance will be happening Friday February 13th from 6:30 to 8:30.  Our theme this year is Magical Masquerade.  Remember, students MUST be in good academic standing to attend this dance; quarter 2 grades will be considered when determining eligibility.  Ticket sale information will soon be unveiled on WCAN.
Scholastic Art and Writing Awards
Congratulations to the  students from Keene Middle School who received awards in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards! Their work will be included in the regional exhibit at Pinkerton Academy with an award ceremony held on February 8th!  More.....
