Focused Communities of Learning

Students at each grade level are assigned to a "cluster" of approximately 115 students. Each cluster is taught by a "team" of teachers.

Parent Portal Log In Information

The First Student bus schedule can be found hereAs in the past, if parents do not see their specific address listed on the schedule they should consider the bus stop in the closest proximity to their home as “their bus stop”. If parents have specific questions or concerns for First Student, they can be reached at 352-2303.

Morning Announcements

Monday, April 27th  Day 4
Lunch: Sweet & Sour Chicken
6th Grade sectionals are for Group E today.
7th and 8th Grade Band sectionals for today are as follows: Period 1 - Group 20, Period 2 - Group 17, Period 4 - Group 24, Period 5 - Group 21, Period 6 - Groups 18 and 22. Period 7 - Groups 19 and 23.
There is Monday Night Jazz Band rehearsal tonight from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
The Band Tour to Franklin School is tomorrow. Students going on tour should wear concert dress to school and report to the band room immediately after checking in with the homeroom teachers.
OCAC Ambassadors will meet after school on Wednesday 2:30 - 3:15.
Today through May 1 NJHS will be holding a book drive outside the cafeteria, IMC & Main Office.  The books you donate will be given to children in need.  When you donate you will have a chance to win a Toadstool gift card.
There will be Evolution Dance practice tomorrow in the wrestling room from 2:30-3:45.
Student Council will meet in Mr. Painchaud's room from 2:50 to 3:15.  Please wait in the Bus Room to be picked up.
Showchoir: We will have practice on Tues. from 2:30-3:30. Please see Mrs. B if you have a conflict.
The PC Lab will be open after school today from 2:30 - 3:15 for students interested in Computer Programming.

Attention Parents:

After the April vacation, KMS Students will take the Smarter Balanced Assessments in Mathematics and English Language Arts/Literacy. This assessment replaces the NECAP.  Parents and students can go to the NH DOE Smarter Balanced Assessment Portal to access the practice and training tests and learn more. http://nh.portal.airast.org/students-and-families/

Sports Drinks & Energy Drinks

With busy student athletes, families will often grab food and beverages in transit to games or practices. Knowing whether sports drinks and energy drinks are appropriate for children can be confusing due to tricky marketing and media hype. Please click on this link to read about the differences between these highly marketed beverages, and how to make water an everyday drink when your family is on the go or at home.

Scholastic Art and Writing Awards
Congratulations to the  students from Keene Middle School who received awards in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards! Their work will be included in the regional exhibit at Pinkerton Academy with an award ceremony held on February 8th!  More.....
